Michigan is one hundred percent the coldest place I have ever lived. So cold, in fact, that thirty degree weather is starting to feel like heaven. DC doesn't seem to mind the below freezing temperatures, as long as we keep him nice and bundled of course (his infinity scarf and hat are c/o with here).

I am grateful for the chance to live in Michigan, and being able to really grow closer to my tiny tribe, but sometimes I wonder what it would be like for DC to grow up in Jersey, like me. I also think about what it would be like for him to grow up in Utah, like his Pa.. those thoughts can often take me into an abyss of what-ifs and that's never a good thing.

Every night, I read a chapter of this book, and it helps with reminding me to be present and grateful. It can be all too easy to get lost in the craziness of life, the infinite what-ifs, and the never ending to-do list. It's so nice to have a gentle reminder every night, so I can start the next day off with the right perspective and priorities.
