Trader Joe's

dress- gap here //  watch- fossil here // shoes - so old i can't remember

Today was my second trip ever to Trader Joe's! It was overwhelming, probably because my son was all stage five teething clinger, and seeing how I hadn't been there in over three years, I had no idea what I was doing.

I didn't know what I would find in the isles. I didn't know what was in the produce section, and I had no idea what their speciality items would be like!

Thankfully, a bunch of you recommended some delicious and yummy things, and I have since made a mile long list. I don't know if my husband will be nearly as thankful for that part though. What can I say? I am a breastfeeding momma, and I like to snack. Plus, fall has all the best food!

There is something about this time of year that get's our family (on both sides) super excited about the season. I don't know if it is the comfort of the fireplace crackling, the pumpkin flavored everything, or the gratitude that starts to fill us to the brim just before Thanksgiving, but it is something so magical and wonderful. I have started to feel the gratitude and in so many ways. It is such a peaceful feeling.

It is all about being happy and paying attention to the simple beauties we can sometimes let pass by. I admit that I can become overwhelmed and "busy," but that's when I miss the good stuff. The kind of moments like right now, hearing my son giggle while his Papa gives him his nightly bath, the smell of clean laundry filling up our upstairs, and fuzzy socks making me feel just as warm as ever.

I think it's good to refocus. Seasonal changes are almost like a new semester. A fresh start. They allow us adults to reset ourselves, earn better grades for being better people, and focus on the new start. I might have failed a few tests last season, but this one I will rock. Or so I think.

  1. You are so right, I am looking forward to fall. There is something about the crisp air, pumpkin spice lattes and cozy sweaters - another reason to be grateful for the simple things :)

    1. Littledekonings,

I love how you said "crisp air," that is exactly what I love about fall. You hit the nail on the head when you said "be grateful for the simple things."

      Love it! Big hugs.
