Random Lovings

Some random thoughts as of late . . .
When people ask me if I want to go to the bathroom to breastfeed my baby (while in public) my new, smart butt, answer is, "do you want to eat your dinner where someone just took a dump?" I don't understand why people are so bothered by breastfeeding, and I am in full support of #normalizingit! If my nip slip makes you think inappropriate thoughts, that's on you, weirdo.

Having my husband work so much lately sucks something terrible. I hate it. Seriously, I didn't see my husband for a full 24 hours, and he was working like 30 minutes from our home. Single momma's props to you, I'm a wimp.

In this book I am currently reading (by John Green), there is a line that says "Mother's lie, it is part of their job description." In that chapter, the mom is lying to her son, to make him feel normal. Like he fits in. I sympathized with her, and realized that love a mother has for her children is insurmountable.

I am changing constantly, and evolving in my role as a mother and wife. It is both a miracle and blessing what a woman can do, and absolutely nothing is impossible for us. Don't ever forget that mommas. It's was makes us so special and sacred.

  2. WhooHooo! You go girl!! I am a BIG TIME breastfeeding supporter and I've always thought the same thing (if someone is getting sexual vibes from seeing a woman breastfeed-- the problem lies with THEM). I certainly plan on breastfeeding my son whenever and where ever he needs. Love your blog and how real and honest you are!

    1. @ Alyssa Stewartson,

Your comment made my day! Thank you so much for your love and support. I feel like us mommas have to stick together! If we aren't honest and real about the miracles and struggles of motherhood, what kind of example are we setting?

All my love to you sweetheart. You sound so awesome!
