With summer coming to a close, I've noticed my kids are bored of our typical summer activities. The novelty of trips to Barnes and Nobles, libraries, the pool, and playdates has worn off. What's a very pregnant mama in her third trimester to do? I'm tired and getting slower by the minute.
So, I'm mixing it up. I started getting them excited for all things fall. I'm lighting pumpkin spice candles, we're making fall book reading lists, and I'm printing out recipes for pumpkin spice baked goods. I've ordered monogrammed everything, and stocked up on their school supplies. I figure it's a great time to start fall crafting with our school supply bins fully loaded!
There's something about making things they can hang up in their rooms that gets them excited. As soon as the mister gets home from work, they run over to him and show him what they've made.
Now, the only down side to this could be having to replace crafting supplies. However, at Walmart, I can get all the supplies my kids need (like our favorite glue) starting at just $0.54.
So, here is a quick and easy fall craft to do with the kids. DC and Aida Mae had a blast making their own skeletons, and were stoked to hang them up. School & craft shopping doesn’t have to be expensive. Thanks to Walmart.
Thank you Walmart for sponsoring this post.
