Sunday Bread

Here due to popular demand is my homemade bread recipe. It should be noted that some loafs are hits and some are misses in the beauty department, but they never do lack in the tasty section.

Here's what you'll need (makes two loaves) . . .

2 packets of yeast
1/2 cup warm water
2 cup hot water
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon salt
5 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
5 1/2 cups-6 cups bread flour (I usually eye it here)

What you'll do. . .

- Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water for 10 minutes.

- Meanwhile, in the mixer, combine hot water, sugar, salt, and EVOO.

- Stir it around to let the sugar + salt dissolve.

- Mix in 3 cups of flour.

- Mix in dissolved yeast + remaining flour.

- Have mixer knead the dough for 10 minutes (I use a dough hook here).

- Lightly cover with towel and let rise + rest for 30-40 minutes.

- Turn out dough + knead until lightly dusted with flour.

- Divide in half.

- Take each half and place into (greased) bread pans.

- Lightly gash top of each bread.

- Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

- Enjoy!
