We purchased a fixer upper and began renovations right away to refresh our ‘new’ 1955 Sioux Falls, South Dakota home. Re-doing the entire main floor of the house in stages over a year and finishing just before our first baby arrived.
The cabinets are Ikea. We hauled them home, put them together, and installed them. We also put in open shelving, a skylight, a new back-splash, and lighting.
The inspiration was light and white.We kept all the 'good' original mid-century details.
