Patience guys, patience.

The terrible twos are kicking my butt. Keeping my cool is not as easy as it once was, especially not whilst being pregnant. If I am not crying (gosh dang pregnancy hormones), I am trying my hardest to breathe through a tantrum or a scream-fest, where he does nothing but shout until he gets some sort of reaction out of me. I've tried lowering myself to his eye level, and very calmly talking to him about why he shouldn't do things like scream and whine, but I feel like that only makes him do it more. He literally screams all day long. Tell me I'm not the only one with this going on.... If I am, I think I might just become a friggin' hermit crab for the next few months.

I am not a perfect momma, and really some days I feel like I am just trying to survive, staring at the clock, counting the hours until my husband gets home, and I can close the bedroom door and hide...until dinner time that is.

    1. Gissell,

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. When I am in the trenches it is so hard to feel like anyone else could endure the same thing! So comforting to know that they are! You are amazing. Thank you for your love!

  2. First of all you look gorgeous in those photos. Second my little is only 16 mo and we are getting a glimpse of terrible twos. When I say "no touch" he looks at the object, looks at me, and touches it! Upset stern mommy is also apparently funny. His laugh makes me laugh which is not good during discipline. Also working on the "no hitting" which is great fun. Haha but you're not alone. Love your Instagram and following your journey.

    1. Kelly,

Thank you so much! 16 months is about when I remember DC really starting to get testy. He would do the same thing when we told him not to touch things, and occasionally still will. Funny thing, if a someone else aside from me or his Papa tell him "don't touch," he will leave it alone that second! Why?!!!

Thank you for following along, and an even bigger thanks for your love and support here on my tiny space where I get to share my journey in detail!

      xoxo
